April 29: Onward to Mt. Shasta

Here's the path... Video of drive up eastern California to Mt. Shasta. Finally... Shasta. The Casaval Ridge up Mt. Shasta in red. Climbing up Mt. Shasta. Unfortunately, even though the weather was perfect, we did not summit because we were too lazy for early morning starts. Snow was soft and sticky, and I didn't have anti-bots for my crampons (plastic plates under crampon to prevent the balling of snow) and so steps were dangerous and my feet were super-clumped with snow. Oh well... if we had more time, we would have liked to finish the route. Beautiful mountain, though.
